A simple coffee shop where you can catch up with friends, no glamour shakes, cocktails, or matcha drinks. Just a straightforward menu, plenty of tables, and plain atmosphere that’s not too bright or too dark, just the perfect place to meet or invite anyone.

Great corner coffee shop! It offers a lot more seating than their east side location. The worker was single handed pro who made sure to greet and serve each customer in a timely manner. This shop gets pretty crowded in the evenings but overall well worth the visit.

At the heart of New York City, it is an amazing cafe with great taste. Amazing vibe inside with cozy atmosphere with comfortable couches. It is not very noisy and great taste of music too! Coffee price is amazingly cheap starting at 3$ Enjoy the best coffee NYC has to offer!

I’ve been to several variety locations across the city probably over 100 times and this location is one of the best! They are SO efficient with taking orders and making coffees. Also I accidentally spilled my coffee and they made me a new one without me even asking when they were busy! So so nice ♥️ thank you variety!!!

Went to Variety for morning coffee. Got an iced latte and a cortado. The coffees were very good!! The coffees came to an little Over $10 for the pair. How is that possible in Manhattan?? I was sure we’d be paying over $10 for each, not for both. Service was friendly and reasonably quick, especially considering how busy it got. We also got an almond croissant and a raspberry almond croissant. It was one of those, “Should I do this?” moments. The answer is YES, you should! It had freeze dried powdered raspberry on top which gave me pause, but I’m glad I tried it. It was wonderful, as was the more simple Almond croissant. Go here! You won’t be dissapointed by the coffee, service or food. Even if you were, the price alone would lift you back up, but you won’t be!

Stopped by Variety Coffee Roasters for a simple cup of joe, and it didn’t disappoint. I like my coffee black, and at just $3 a cup, you really can’t beat it. The brew was smooth, flavorful, and exactly what I needed to start the day. This is going to be my go-to coffee shop while I’m in NYC. They also had some great-looking pastries in the display case, so I’ll definitely have to come back and try one next time I’m in. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quality cup of coffee without breaking the bank. ☕️

Quality coffee, lingering/co-working friendly, personable staff. 10/10 would reccomend. My wife and I came in and sat for a while. We both ordered Americanos, hers decaf, mine regular, and they were fantastic. No complaints at all! I know coffee, and thought this was certainly a spot to return to for the brew. We grabbed a window table and sat for over an hour and watched the regular crowd trickle in. I bought a bag of beans to take home with me as a souvenir, and it’s been absolutely delicious as espresso and pour over.

Variety Coffee Roasters truly sets the standard for what a coffee shop should be. From the moment you walk in, the ordering process is seamless and efficient. You place your order and can either grab a seat among the lively crowd—this place fills up almost immediately after opening at 7 AM—or take your drink to go, which is usually my move. The energy here is great, the crowd is vibrant, and everything just runs the way it should. It’s become my personal Saturday morning ritual whenever I’m in town. Honestly, anyone who owns a coffee shop—or is thinking about getting into the business—should come here and take notes.
